I wanted to thank everyone who worked or helped with the docks. To me this is the end of winter. We beat our record by 45 minutes. There are still some items that need to be finished and hopefully the boaters will get completed soon.
I also wanted to thank everyone that worked so hard on Opening Day. Our Fleet Captain, Frank, had a good group of workers, and this resulted in a great day. The raffle went well and the food was terrific Thanks to all the officers and Princesses who attend from the other DRYL Clubs.
As everyone knows business has been down as a result of the economy and no smoking. All work parties need to be authorized by me in advance of the work party. Beer is the only drink on work parties/ with certain exceptions. With current financial short fall I would hope that the membership would donate their time. This being said the E-Board will be going over the finances the next several months to look for weak areas that need to be addressed. Stop down during Happy Hour and not just to enjoy the food….stay awhile.
Members should also take pride in their Club. If you smoke don’t throw your butts on the ground or in the creek. If you see trash on the ground please pick it up. The back porch is not a storage area so if you are breaking down from a rental or event the tables and chairs go in the shed. If you don’t do it , it probably won’t get done.
The weather is getting nice, the docks are in and everybody knows we can us the support. If you haven’t been down to the club in a while ( and you members know who you are) stop down and see us.

Our annual Easter Egg Hunt was another success.
I want to thank everyone who help with filling the eggs, making up the baskets, tagging all of the prizes and helping with donating and cooking the food. (I don’t want to forget a name so I won’t list but you know who you are). Thank you.
I especially want to thank Sue Knight for her help and support. This event would not be what it is without her. Also thanks to Sue Cheety for being our Easter Bunny this year.
